The Circuit Clerk's Office is responsible for the organization and maintenance of the 5 million court files from 1804 to the present in storage and the 40,000 new civil and criminal cases filed every year in the 22nd Judicial Circuit Court.Circuit Clerk Thomas Kloeppinger


This office is the first stop for citizens filing a lawsuit, obtaining copies of court files, paying fines or checking docket entries. We are also on the front lines of court technology and automation as the Missouri court system moves from electronic document storage, paperless case management and electronic filing to remote access to court records, began in 2023.

Kloeppinger was appointed circuit clerk in 2014. He became Missouri's first circuit clerk appointed since the Missouri Legislature converted the position from an elected county office.
