Judge Joseph Whyte was appointed circuit judge in 2018. He served as a Missouri assistant attorney general for two years and was engaged in the private practice of law for almost 26 years. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a juris doctor from the St. Louis University School of Law. Judge Whyte and his wife, Cheryl, have four grown children.

Before scheduling a case on this website, the attorney signing up the matter must consult and confirm the availability of all other attorneys on the case. After scheduling a case, the attorney signing up the matter must electronically file a notice of hearing within 24 hours of signing up said cause on this website. Failure to comply with all instructions listed above, will result in your matter being removed from the docket, and your case will not be heard.

Informal matters are heard at 9 a.m. weekdays. Testimonial motions shall be scheduled by contacting the clerk. Dispositive motions shall be scheduled and submitted at least 60 days before a trial setting in a general trial division. All contested motions shall be scheduled electronically via this website.
